15.59 Big-spending French club Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to sign Real Madrid playmaker Kaka, according to Sky Sport Italia.

15.30 Football Espana report Atletico Madrid's Ruben Micael will spend this season on loan at Zaragoza, with a €5m option to buy at the end of the campaign.

15.06 Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp insists that midfielder Niko Kranjcar is going nowhere. “No he isn’t going to Sunderland,” Redknapp told Goal.com. “We want to keep him. He is an outstanding player. I love him. He will be important for us.”

14.51 Blackburn manager Steve Kean believes new signing Radosav Petrovic can make a big impression in the Premier League. "He's a presence, he's an imposing figure but he can score goals, he can switch play, he can sit in and be a defensive player but he can also be released to go box to box," Kean said.

14.03 Reported Arsenal target Mauro Zarate looks set to leave Lazio after he was dropped for the club's 6-0 win over Robotnicki in the Europa League on Thursday. "Zarate is an important ... but if something happens between now and the end of the transfer window then we’ll evaluate things,” said Lazio official Igli Tare.

10.21 Everton and Fenerbahce have resumed talks over the €4 million transfer Joseph Yobo after the match fixing scandal that rocked Turkish football put the deal on hold.

10.09 Bolton are hoping to boost their attacking options ahead of Manchester City's visit on Sunday with a £3.7 million deal for Liverpool striker David Ngog, according to The Sun.

09.50 Corriere dello Sport says AC Milan are looking at Peter Crouch, Emmanuel Adebayor and Mario Balotelli.

09.38 - BREAKING NEWS Manchester City are "in the final stages of negotiations" with Arsenal's Samir Nasri.

08.30 Another line coming out of White Hart Lane is that assistant manager Kevin Bond has told TalkSport that Chelsea-target Luka Modric will not be leaving.

08.15 Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has been a busy boy and thinks that Man city striker Emmanuel Adebayor will 'probably' move to White Hart Lane, but insists the deal is not yet done.

08.00 AS claims Atletico Madrid could move for Tottenham outcast Giovanni dos Santos.

The pick of the stories doing the rounds this morning comes in the Daily Telegraph, who claim that Chelsea have bid £27 million for Valencia's Juan Mata and adds: "The offer is expected to secure the 23 year-old from Valencia who are likely to accept the bid ahead of interest from Tottenham Hotspur."

The Daily Mail, which reported that Chelsea had seen a £22 million bid for Mata rejected earlier this week, also puts the value of the bid at £27 million but claims the offer includes a further £2 million in top-up payments. And the Blues will make another swoop for Luka Modric to make it a £60 million double deal.

Meanwhile, West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has mocked QPR's derisory £4 million bid for Scott Parker, in the Daily Mirror. Claiming it is the equivalent of the Hammers offering £12 million for Wayne Rooney.

In more positive news, the newspaper claims that Blackburn have agreed a £6 million fee for Hoffenheim striker Vedad Ibisevic and Sporting Lisbon playmaker Simon Vukcevic could follow on Friday.

The Daily Star claim that Manchester City-bound Samir Nasri wants to join Manchester United, despite closing in on a £22 million switch from Arsenal to Eastlands.

In an unusually quiet day for transfer gossip in The Sun, the newspaper claims that "Harry eyes deal for a lovely Lass" - that's Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp and Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra, who he hopes will be in his squad to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday.
